Are you 100% sure that you are in remission? If not don't do this!

In all likelihood, this will make your thyroid levels skyrocket, and send you right back into hyperthyroidism. It will make you hyper, an insomniac, cause heart palpitations, etc. It won't make you sluggish in the hypothyroid sense.

If you haven't had the right tests, and if you are not in remission, again, don't do this! Get free T3, free T4, TSH, and TSI. If your TSH is normal, and your TSI is below 100, then give it a try. Slowly! Wean off of the meds. Don't go cold turkey.

Doctors intentionally do this to people to make them sick so that they can be forced into having radioactive iodine. Be very skeptical of any doctor who suggests this!

If you are feeling well, and your T3 and T4 are normal, then I wouldn't change a thing. Just stay on the meds.
