im 17 weeks pregnant and i have an underactive thyroid gland.
will my lovothyroxine tablets harm the baby at all?
Basically, I have had quite a few people over the months says that I show signs of a underactive thyroid gland. I am only 20 years old and at university. So as long as it does not affect my university performance im not bothered about it since I have a genuine phobia of needles due to past trauma.
So just to ask is it a bad thing to have or is it liveable with.
Thanks.
My TSH is 0.8, is this leaning towards an overactive or underactive thyroid gland?
What is optimal?
TIA.
I’m a 16 year old girl and I have an underactive thyroid gland, I found out when I was 9. I started of with just 25 micrograms now I’m on 100, but I still feel crap.. I HATE having this problem, and I hate all the side affects.. There are lots of them, one of the worst one is deep depression.. I was thinking about getting it removed when I’m a little bit older but my dad thinks it will cure itself.. ?? The thing that I’m most worried about is my singing voice, I’m a musician and all iv wanted to do was sing since I was younger.. so my question is what happens and what are the possibilities of having this operation.. Please help me. Thanks.
i’ve heard that drinking or eating too much soy foods can cause an irregular thyroid function, but some amounts of soy can also be good for you.
1) Does drinking too much soymilk or eating too much soy cause underactive or overactive thyroid function?
2) if so, how much soy is too much and how often should i drink or eat soy foods?
3) can an overactive or underactive thyroid gland stunt my height growth or make me stop from getting any taller?
(im only 14 and i want to get taller)
