Please enlighten my mind about this two type solution for thyroid disease, maybe if there’s no hope for short medication with my thyroid problem i chose Radioactive treatment.

My thryoid levels come back normal, but I have the symptoms of hypothyroidism. I am overweight, cold all the time, have dry skin, feel sluggish, have a "full" feeling in my throat…I desperately want to lose weight but don’t know if that is even a possibility if I have a thyroid problem and my doc won’t treat it because my blood results are normal.

Can this just be stress - or thyroid problem maybe?
My thyroid blood test came out fine a few years ago but I didn’t trust they got to the bottom of it. I have other symptoms of underactive thyroid too.

I’ve been to the doctor twice to have my thyroid checked by a blood test, but even though I have alot of the symptoms of a thyroid problem it has come back as within range, but only barely within.
The blood test they have done is called T.S.H. levels.

So my main question is this: Do the thyroid (TSH) levels go up and down?
