Sorry to hear that. Cant you get it right and get help.
No one is fast and one is slow.
Thank God for Doctors like yourself that understand this! I told my Dr. that I wasn’t feeling good with Levoxyl only and asked her about prescribing Cymotel and told her that I had been doing research on the internet. She ran a new blood test and checked TSH,T3,T4,and T7. My TSH came back at 3.8 and she said everything was normal, But I felt horrible, pain in my legs and joints, and suicidal thoughts. My new doc put me on Armour and I feel good after 1 week. Now if I can keep finding the Armour.
@lexislopez, you gotta get help, it’s out there and life can get so much better with the right meds. I’ve dealt with this myself to the point that I thought I would never be able to hold down a job if I could ever find one. Only a few weeks ago, I was trying to find someone in my area that would be willing to help me and almost broke down in tears because I could barely walk and had lost hope. I went to a Naturopathic Dr. and she prescribed Armour Thyroid (Comb. T4/T3) T3 was the key.
i’m diagnosed hypo and don’t have cold hands/feet. it needs to be stressed that symptoms vary.
Anyways thank you for the information it’s great:-)
sorry be a pain doctor. im 22 year old male vvvery active and having blood prsser. i did soooo many tests and doctors dont know y i have it. i do weights and im a pro swimmer. when i wake up my neck and face are feeling tight and stiffed. like i said i ALWAYYYYYYYS FEEL TIRED AND LAZY. im not like this. plz help me!! wat should i do??
My doctor said my TSH is 5.9 called subclinical hypothyroidism which means I have NO symptoms BECAUSE It is not hypothyroidism legally.
I do have symptoms (tired, weak, no concentration, nervousness, depression, muscle pain, panic attacks -thin though) but she said it is the anxiety and prescribed me propranalol.
help
Do you have hypothyroidism?? My tsh is 5.9 but the doctor said i dont need treatment (although i am anxious, depressed, muscle pain, weak, sleepy, no concentration)- so she prescribed me propranalol for anxiety. Please could you tell me if thyroid replacement makes people gain weight? How long does it take so people start feeling better from the symptoms? I am at Uni and cant do my job so need a solution! pleas help
Hi
What were your thyroid values?? Remember you need free t3 and free t4 and tsh.
Oh My Goodness, you need to see another Dr. You are definately Hypothyroid at 5.9! My medical doctor told me that I was fine at 3.8 and I felt exactly like you describe. The normal range supposedly was .5 to 5.0, and you are even out of that range! Go see a naturopathic dr. right away, they will treat you with a natural medicine such as Armour Thyroid, and will treat you based on how you feel, not the numbers from the blood test. I have more to say but running out of characters so will post ….
…another reply. I was on Buspar for anxiety because my medical Dr. didn’t know enough about hypothyroidism to know that that was what caused the anxiety. I would like to punch your Dr. for not caring enough about you and allowing you to go through such hell, and it is hell! Just realized your doc is a “she”, so I would’nt punch her
But I wish her Hypothyroidism! Once they put you on medication it will take a week or two to start feeling better, but it will be worlds better,Damn Character Co
…count! It takes some time to get you 100%, you’ll start medicine and then 6-8 weeks later you will have more blood tests to check TSH again, my new doc says between 1-2 is optimal. Then you will adjust medication again until you are at the 1-2 range. I just had my blood done yesterday and will begin getting into the 1-2 range this week. Hang in there though, you are on your way now that you know what you need to do. Also, go to thyroid.about . com and register, and read, read, read.
Thank you doc, i just read in my notes that the doctor said the Thyroxin levels were normal, but i dont have the numbers.
If I take thyroxins and the levels get high then i would get hyperthyroidism
I am at Uni and have to finish my dissertation now, really have to, dont know what to do to feel better and concentrate, please what should i do? I´m getting desperate
I’ve had my blood test done and my TSH is 7.7 and my doctor says my thyroid is fine. I have pretty much all of the symptoms too…
You need to find another doctor. 7.7 is way to high.

Clinically they found my gland was enlarged, ultrasound showed moderately enlarged inhomogenous rt lobe with hypoechoic nodules. Pl give me ur thoughts how should i proceed further. Thx
Its a very clear speech and its really helpful ! I got 3.2 (TSH) and 1.2(Free T4) and 3.1(Free T3) and my doctor said its normal . But I have all the symptoms that you told . Most important thing is I have severe hair fall (thinning , balding) . I am just 26 . Because of this hair fall only , I took these Thyroid tests. Is my thyroid numbers seems normal ? Is my hair fall related to this Thyroid in some way ? I really really expect your response and feedback. Thanks
Hi there Dr. , I just wanted to say I wish you were here in Atlanta. You sound perfect. I just had a test run and my TSH level is 12.4, I took my first Synthroid today, had a bad rash on my face, jaw started to look up, got shakey, strange stuff. I need help……..any thoughts here? I also have PCOS. Thank you for your time and for your videos!
Scared!
Doc, have a question, I previously had Hyper Thyroid, but now am under control with a Hypo-Thyroid. I have been taking Methamazole 5MG down from 10GM and Propraponlol 10MG, for the last 2 years. Given that my eyes had already buldged during my early sessions of diagnosis. I have what they call, “Graves Disese”. I have found out that the hyper thyrodism has efffected my eye pressure which NY Eye and Ear Infirmary have evulated and am taking Travatan, for it.
We have gone over all options and we came to a final decision to remove my thyroid gland via “radiotion” therapy. Therefore my BIG QUESTION to you is, what do you recommend in my case? What steps should I take in order to cope with this disease? I am currently seeing a Endocronologist, but have not been, like you stated having a two-way conversation much!!! But have been reffered by her, to NY Eye and Ear nfirmary, where they have a Thyroid Dept. which have been seeing me for the last 6 months.
hi im 24 and i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism according to my doctor. She advised me to take in PTU and Propanolol. but i still have some of those symptoms. What should i do? should i continue the medicine? Can i try the T3and T4? is it safe and effective? do i still need a doctor’s prescription fir that? please i need help thanks…
